Weirdly, the guy is looking thrown as well, as if Kris could possibly inspire that same sort of first impression in a creature like this. "Hi," the guy says after a beat, smile returning. "I'm Adam."

Kris was the Master Vampire of the West Coast. If it happened in LA then Kris knew about it.
