Adam jabbed Kris in the side with an elbow to interrupt him and said, "Okay, so I am giving you fair warning here, the next time you say one word about how I deserved it, or how sorry you are, or for that matter just spend your interview time going off on how awesome I am, I am going to be so totally overcome with love for you that I am going to have to kiss you."
It occurred to him belatedly that maybe he should've been saying no once in a while, but at this point he felt bad—obviously word had gotten around, so now if he turned somebody down, they'd feel like it was them specifically, which just seemed so mean.
The hotel room was almost too quiet after the rush of the day and the steady drumming of the shower: the triple-glazed glass kept out the noise of Times Square, so the billboards flashed silently and the taxis and traffic slid by without a sound, like being in space. Kris stood at the window in his sweatpants and t-shirt, staring out at it blankly until Adam knocked on the door.
*points at the name of the ficlet*.
No one will ever believe this, when Adam tells them about it later.
Adam knows what he’s doing.
Adam really makes no sense at all. Basically.
You want to stop, say it, right now.
Kris Allen finds his definitions of love and family challenged during the first months of the American Idol tour when his marriage is tested by a scandal with Adam Lambert, all thanks to the National Enquirer.
Sometimes the death of a relationship is a slow burn, and other times it's an explosion. Kris and Adam experience a little of both before they find their way home.
“I’m fine,” he says, dragging his hand from his eyes and shifting his hand in Adam’s grip to expose the polish on his thumbnail, “Katy just isn’t too thrilled with the…new direction my sense of fashion is taking.”
SEQUEL to THE MANY WAYS TO FALL I know it has been a million years, so you might want to at least skim it even if you read it already. This fic probably won’t make sense without that one. What if Adam and Kris had a brief but memorable encounter before Idol?
So Adam’s a pretty curious guy, whatever, this shouldn’t surprise anyone who knows him.
Set throughout Season 8 and after the tour. The Incredible/Impossible True Adventure of Two Boys in Love
Basically, this is how I picture the story of Kris and Adam’s friendship playing out, from the first day they met to a certain day in the future, almost exactly a year later. It’s made up of lots of big and little moments. Some happy. Some funny. Some sad. Features lots of cameos from all the other contestants and all the people we’ve come to know and love.
Has nothing to do with the movie Once, which I love. Sorry for any major historical goof ups but it’s more about the Kradam. The idea for this was loosely inspired by a fall out boy fic I read years ago, although if I remember correctly I think theirs was more of a parallel universes thing and like two paragraphs long and definitely wasn’t chronological. But it was awesome and if I ever find it again I’ll post it. Basically it inspired the common thread of the two of them always being fated together but the relationship always being slightly different. All the writing is original of course. Let me know what you think!
Late night and early morning, make-up and music, bedroom and bathroom- their small world has so many unexplored possibilities.
He thinks wryly that it’s a sign of just how bad things have gotten that his friend’s small gesture has reduced him to tears. Follow-up to Written in the Stars.
This is a story about sleeping, lots and lots of sleeping—the kind that's had and the kind that's missed. (Or: Kris likes to sleep in Adam's bed. Things progress from there.)
Megan had been calling them zombies from the get-go; after the third one, while Adam was busy puking his guts all over the sidewalk, she went around to all of them and hissed, "Listen, they're zombies, do you get it?"
"Oh, you are all such straight boys," Adam said. "Which is hilarious, because it's pretty much conversion trick number one."
Adam goes to check on Kris and finds something he definitely wasn't expecting.
Kradam - AU: Kris and Adam meet by chance some other way (which is entirely up to you) and sparks fly. NC-17
The thing is, Adam's cock is kind of big.
These are just a bunch of drabbles I collected for the [info]ontd_ai Kradam appreciation thread. The last two are intentionally cracky so be warned. There’s no real flow, they’re all pretty random.
Adam's on top of the world. But when he finds out something's wrong with his ex-boyfriend Brad, he becomes determined to find out what it is, despite everyone's best efforts to keep him away.
Katy looked at him, and that was one of the best things about Katy - she got him, even when what she was getting wasn't something she'd ever gotten from him before. She saw Kris going out of his skin and turned to Adam and said, "Do you think we could go out with you?" She got him even when he didn't get himself.
It's a complicated arrangement, make no mistake
The first time Adam met Spencer Smith, he tried to stab Adam in the back with a stake.
This is a series of ficlets. Unbetaed, unedited, off-the-cuff. Inspired by the Rolling Stone article
Now let us take a moment to imagine Adam Lambert meeting Gerard Way -- HOSHIT, IN DRAG.
It’s not that she doesn’t trust Kris, either, she thinks as she fills a glass with water from the tap and listens to the ice cubes clink. She knows him too well not to trust him, and it makes her smile, because before Kris it always seemed odd to her that knowledge of a person bred trust. It always seemed that the more you knew someone, the more you realized you couldn’t ever really know someone.
PYT, Turn the Other Cheek, Seconds, Hours, So Many Days
Adam wasn't sure if it was the weirdest Idol-related gift he'd ever received, or the best.
"Normally I'm good at distance," Adam says. "But this tour feels different or something."
Their friendship is hard to explain.
Harry Potter!AU, in which there are wizards, witchcraft, and wizardry. And a lot of singing. “You have a gift, Adam,” Professor Abdul says. “You have a gift you must share with the world, and you will be beautiful when you share it, but you must beware of those who seek to take you down.” Adam is shaking, and his hands are slick with sweat. “Beware, Adam,” Professor Abdul says, and her voice sounds far away. “The darkness – it will feel like a kiss—”
This is my attempt to get my Kris voice down. Also trying to psych myself up for [info]americanbang
Tour fluff. Kris wakes up on the tour bus and goes to find Adam.
