The girls chased Heero. They chased Duo too, but Duo always let himself get caught. Consequently Heero was the more sought after of the two, because every girl likes a challenge.

Heero let himself be shoved against the table of their booth, the club lights dark and flickering, indistinct and at once revealing and concealing.

"Freeport colony: a notorious den of pirates, smugglers and thieves. Wufei persuades one of its denizens, his one-time ally Duo, to help him catch a killer hiding there. Agent Chang thinks he knows what to expect, from this case, from Freeport and from Duo Maxwell. He couldn't be more wrong."

Heero looks for a purpose in peacetime; the other pilots offer him some possibilities.

This is an illustration for a potential story with the cast of Gundam Wing in the world of Avatar (I'd be using the world of AtlA, but not the characters, so no Wufei meets Zuko.)

Heero looked up from the cot he was loosely chained to, giving a stony glare to his captor. The half-dressed, tattooed teenager, with enough hair to rival 02 and a notable lack of weapons hidden in his torn jeans, didn't look impressed. "And they walloped you with somethin' freaky that tore through some dimensions, which is why your better space tech is currently making like ugly modern lawn art in what's left of my courtyard."
