Jamie meets Diego when he's seven. Diego is older, bigger, bolder (not surprising, when Jamie has been a wisp of a child since forever, with matching shyness), and has a big, contagious smile. Their friendship holds fast for eight years as they are both apprenticed to Diego's father, the famous locksmith Master Reyes, but when they meet the lovely Esperanza Jamie starts to realise that there is more to life than work, and that his adoration of Diego is and probably always has been more than friendship.

Rodney and John have been in a relationship for years, despite all the difficulties that arise when two subs with no dominant tendencies try to have a relationship. When Jennifer Keller arrives on Atlantis, the two of them decide that things are going to change.

Rodney is in a relationship with Jennifer, but she doesn't at all think that that means he has to spend less time with his best friend. John seems to think so, though, and this bothers her more and more for reasons she can't really explain to herself.

Space AU - Peter got Neal paroled to his and El's ship because he couldn't bear the thought of Neal on a prison planet. El hijacks Neal into her event planning because she can't bear to see his talents being wasted while he and Peter pine over each other. But there's many perils in space, not the least of which is to convince her boys to stop being silly and listen to her!
