All men are not created equal. This is a simple truth Izuku has known ever since he was four, when he first realized what it meant to have a quirk like his; a quirk that forces him to consume human flesh to survive. When it seems like his poor mother can't live with the burden of raising something like him any longer he leaves, hoping to at least grant her the peaceful life she deserves. At the same time, Katsuki witnesses something that changes the way he sees himself forever. With the guilt of causing Izuku's 'death' constantly looming over him he continues to fight and claw his way to the top. It would be a lot easier if he didn't have this freak who reminds him so much of the kid he'd bullied into suicide constantly being shoved in his face. --- In which Izuku is a ghoul, Inko tries and fails to protect her son, Katsuki thinks he's a murderer, Shigaraki is creepy, and All Might tries his best. Midoriya cracks under the weight of things that may be outside of his control. Bakugou addresses the problem by throwing Todoroki at it.

All-Might has a few things he would like to get off his chest.

Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it. But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless. Not that anyone would believe it if he told them.

Izuku’s never run into this problem before with anyone else, but it’s still not much of a problem. “Oh, that’s alright,” he says. “I don’t have a Quirk.” Tsukauchi stares incredulously at him, and then looks at the iron bar that Izuku is currently straightening with his hands. Midoriya Izuku does not let his lack of a Quirk prevent him from being strong. Also known as that one AU where Izuku follows the ridiculous training regimen of Saitama from One Punch Man and becomes stronger than anyone ever imagined he could be.

Stars create gravity, and Uraraka wishes on herself. It was impossible to make her own shooting stars, but that inspiration sounded like a touch of divinity. Only the imaginings of a god with their versatility of powers could be capable of involving outer space. Uraraka...dreamed of that.

Mina and Toru take Ochako out shopping, and Ochako discovers that stores exist with clothes actually meant to fit on girls with actual curves.

“Midoriya,” Aizawa said slowly as if the sound of his name alone took ten years off his life. “I’m going to need you to run that by me again.” “I said I need to punch Endeavor in the face.” “That’s what I thought you said.”

"Hey there, ghosts," Midoriya says, "it's me, ya boy." The dorms are haunted. Shenanigans ensue.

Midoriya Inko attracts small objects. Midoriya Hisashi breathes fire. Midoriya Izuku is full of stars.

The rumor spoke of a boy who could speak with the dead, a glimmer of hope for ones like you, ones unable to rest in peace.

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Or, you're raised a villain, rebel when you're nine, and fight against the odds to become a hero anyway. That's how it is in Izuku's case.

Present Mic first spots the restaurant when it’s his turn to patrol the local neighbourhood around UA.

It’s rather disappointing, Reborn thinks. He was a much cuter toddler the first time round.

"She was fucking taller," Katsuki's Benio repeats, fangs out. "The fuck she was." Katsuki knows what, who his daemon is talking about. He doesn’t want to know, but he does. Benio is about eye level with Midoriya Yuina. She probably also knows what she’s talking about. Maybe the shitty fainting mini-steak on the hoof just decided to stand up properly today. Maybe Katsuki and Benio have other shit to think about, like the upcoming tournament, and other shit not to think about, like needing to be fucking saved by a fucking useless quirkless mook and his fucking fainting goat, the biggest joke of the animal kingdom bar none.

Between trying to repair a childhood friendship and reassessing why she wants to be a hero, Uraraka discovers a different side to Bakugou, and discovers more to herself.

I don’t want to die! Izuku screams in that underpass, drowning under the sludge villain. Why don’t you let me help you with that? says a voice in the back of his head. Izuku doesn't have a Quirk. What he has is good instincts, unexplainable nightmares he can't remember, and a cat named Natsu.

The thing about Tsuna’s life was that it could never just be normal.

Tsuna’s first thought when he woke up to a white hospital room and the beeping of machines was “at least I’m not in a coffin this time.” “… What?” Oh. He’d said that out loud. Reborn would’ve shot him if he’d been there.

When the whole world tells Izuku that he's not capable of being anything more than a useless, quirkless deku, is it any wonder that he finds himself in games, where quirks don't matter? Is it any wonder that he finds himself in SAO?

Class 1-A's second day ends with a bang.

The change can't be immediate, or it’ll seem forced. It has to take time, in order to be realistic. He knows that. He’ll need to seem like a villain. But he’ll be a hero. And for that, Hitoshi thinks he’d do just about anything. Or, Someone's selling UA's secrets, and Shinsou Hitoshi definitely doesn't have anything to prove.

Midoriya Izuku is still the biggest hero nerd to walk the earth and not even being Number One is going to change that. Now if only he could remember to tell his fans that he is Pro Hero Deku.

Through no fault of his own, Xanxus finds himself in another world, trapped in the body of the No. 2 Hero. At least he has some entertainment, in the form of an angry, scarred, broken son...

“Would you fuck off already?” Bakugou’s voice rang out over the sounds of the party, prompting several members of 1A to look over in concern. Izuku bit his lip and joined them, peering around Uraraka’s shoulder where she sat beside him on the couch. Iida frowned and stood, ready to step in before Bakugou could start a fight. “Hey, man, no need to yell, we were just—” “You were just being a fucking creep. She’s obviously not fucking interested, jackass.” Izuku blinked

“You scored very highly—” “As fuckin’ usual.” “—but your interpersonal skills are still unbelievably low. If you are going to be a pro hero you need to be capable of working on a team—sometimes even one composed of people you don’t like.” Aizawa seemed to have roused himself from the edge of sleep long enough to impart this wisdom to Blasty. “Whatever. Just tell me what I’m doing.” Bakugou didn’t seem very moved. Mina thought one might need a backhoe to achieve such a thing. Aizawa zipped himself up in his sleeping bag. “Go around the classroom and give everyone an honest compliment.”

Where Class 1-A finds itself in a time loop centered around their first year at UA. After getting over the usual angst, they decide that the best way to grow as heroes is by antagonizing dangerous villains for fun and amusement.

In which Midoriya Inko happens to be the reincarnation of one Izumi Curtis- and the world will never be the same.

It was a normal day in Class 1-A, emphasis on the 'was'. Really, when Aizawa was giving his lecture on the importance of personas in heroics, they should have just listened...instead, they get to deal with a Midoriya that acts like Bakugou for the day. Hint: It's terrifying.

Midoriya needs a new outlet for his hero research and accidentally creates a viral YouTube channel. Or: Midoriya makes some new friends, learns to fight, and gets into UA and amasses an army of fans that protect him.

“I’ll destroy a man for you,” he says breathlessly. Todoroki looks vaguely amused. “Good to know.” Midoriya passes the mug to Momo’s hands and then reaches up to put his hands on Todoroki’s cheeks so he can bring him down to eye-level. “No, listen. I will destroy a man for you.” Todoroki blinks at him, looking a little startled. “I have a seven year plan,” Midoriya elaborates terrifyingly. “O-kay?” he says throught his smushed cheeks. “Fuck Endeavor,” Midoriya says empathically. (Or: Midoriya has absolutely no filter when he's sleep deprived. That's it. That's the fic.)

Every single school had one: someone at the top of the food chain. An acme. Someone who could do things under a teacher's nose, escape consequences, and terrify other people. Someone who looked down on everyone else like they were prey. An apex predator. And Izuku couldn't count on teachers and adults to protect anyone. Even a hero school wasn't safe from the phenomena. When Izuku gets to Yuuei, he's determined to find out who it is and ensure they can't hurt him or his new friends. ...and accidentally, in the process, becomes the apex predator (though he is mostly unaware of this, and uses it for good. But still, people are terrified of him.) (Or, a snowball chain of events wherein Izuku's paranoia leads to 1A becoming a family, everyone in school being in debt to him, Aizawa adopting everyone in his sight and slowly growing closer to committing acts of arson, the League gaining redemption and working with the resident Apex Predator to combat the Hero Commission whilst gaining technically legal identities, and Hawks finding a family. Hurt people help other hurt people, and they're all doing their best. Some laws may or may not be broken in the process.)

"How do you feel about your father becoming the number one hero?" "He'll always be number two in my heart." In which Todoroki Touya grows up to be a hero, and channels his anger into pettiness instead of villainy.

When Aizawa Shouta walked into his new class and saw everybody calmly seated and chatting, as if they'd done this a million times already, he just knew this year was gonna be long. Or, Shouta strongly wishes he had expelled his whole class on Day One, because figuring out what the hell is going on with them just feels well above his pay grade.

The Villain day was a long-standing tradition in UA, a day where hero students were encouraged to pretend to be villains. It had started a decade and a half ago, as a mean to understand the enemy, and it had quickly devolved into an excuse to cosplay and to be free, from one day, from the pressure of being a future hero. .

Izuku manages to consistently use One for All at 100%, without breaking himself, half way through his second year. He graduates with that power tightly regulated, completely under his control; his quirk is his, completely. The graduated class 3A have a word for it when Izuku - Deku - goes 100%. It's a physical sensation, they learned early; a pressure in the air and on their lungs and down to their bones and blood. Everyone within his vicinity can feel it. They call it going green. And then, in a fight against the villain Jupiter, Deku goes green for the first time since UA. One third of the people at the scene collapse to their knees.

One month after @hawks_unofficial's initial viral post, the blog titled "Quirk Analysis Blog for the Future", otherwise known as "Q. A. B.", has gone from an average of 10 views per post to an average of 20,000 views per post. Midoriya Izuku does not know how to view the impressions analysis for his suddenly popular blog, and only notices that sometimes, people actually comment on his posts now. He does not google himself or his moniker and thus does not see the rise in online articles and speculation. He is unaware that the "kyuu-ei-bee" he begins to hear about in passing refers to his own blog. He does not have a Twitter account. At the time, Midoriya Izuku is 15 years old. Izuku (accidentally) starts a cult.

“Midoriya also wants to go to Yuuei.” At this statement, Izuku’s classmates mocked him and on any other day, he would have taken it. But getting hit with a quirk while watching a villain fight before school changes the scenario. In which Izuku’s class learns you don’t need a quirk to take someone down a peg.

Prompt: For the 2-A Midterm, the hero students are set to fight their teachers once more. The catch? Students wear quirk suppression bracelets. Support items like capture weapons, amps, arm grenades, and even sugar packets are prohibited, as the exam is to test their resourcefulness and their ability to fight without using their quirks. Shinsou and Midoriya are set to go up against Aizawa, and proceed to show how fighting quirkless is done. BP: OR, Shinsou has seen hints of it during the Sports Fest, but he honestly had no clue how fucking resourceful a quirkless Midoriya could be.

“No.” It’s a fair response. “And you found him because…?” An even better response. Hawks isn’t in the mood to answer it though. “I heard a cry; I was first on scene.” Naomasa nods and everyone else buys the tale. They’re all looking at one thing only. Specifically, the A-Rank villain known as Dabi who is, for all intents and purposes, currently five years old. aka, Dabi is turned into a child and suddenly turns a lot more talkative, leading to some (possibly unwanted) revelations.

Aizawa refuses to let his Problem Child travel back in time alone, even to fix a future where All for One was the victor. They go back with a plan that's more of a list, spend a year technically missing, and become rather effective vigilantes that fix some rather serious problems. And then it's time to be found, which seems to primarily result in lots of support and many hugs. Neither Izuku or Aizawa complain very much.

Even if All Might is right and Izuku can't be a hero, Izuku refuses to be useless. So Izuku uses his analysis skills to develop Plan C: Consulting in order to help the heroes. Eraserhead is impressed by this mysterious new consultant but alarm bells in Deku's behaviour quickly have Aizawa recruiting help for Plan A: Adoption.

Shouta gripped the phone tight enough to make the phone case groan. “So it’s true. Midoriya was Quirkless.” “Until soon before the entrance exam,” Nedzu confirmed. “That’s not relevant now, though, because—“ “Relevant?” Shouta hissed. “Midoriya is barely functional, socially. He doesn’t trust any adult. He thinks the whole world hates him. He apologizes for everything except breaking the law, and I’m sure I can trace every single one of those things back to his Quirklessness. You call that irrelevant?” Aizawa visits Aldera Junior High and finds out some disturbing truths.

Kaminari walks up to Todoroki in the hallway after class and says, “Dude, I need your help.” Todoroki checks over his shoulder, twice, to verify that Kaminari is indeed talking to him. “Why?” “Yesterday you asked Shinsou-kun if he was Aizawa-sensei’s son,” Kaminari says, as though that explains anything at all. “...yes?” “Make a hero conspiracy YouTube channel with me.”

Teachers and Izuku don't mesh well. If Izuku speaks up, he gets in trouble. If Izuku gets picked on, he gets in trouble. If Izuku lets his guard down for one second, he gets in trouble. Izuku isn't stupid. He knows UA isn't going to be any different.

In one world, the members of Class 1A, for the most part, had support systems and ways to cope that let them take things in stride. In another, they are left far more vulnerable to the traumas inflicted on them over and over. It all started with Todoroki Shouto seeing bruises on Yaoyorozu Momo's arm. The members of Class 1A begin to realize they are all far more alike than they thought, and the insecurities, fears, and pain they are facing are too much to handle- and so they decide to run as far away from them as they can, because if the world won't give them family, they'll be each other's family.

Midoriya Izuku likes to watch hero fights and is Present Mic's more frequent caller. It never occurs to him that it might get heroes interested in him.

“What in the hell are you on about?” Hawks bites back, and fights down the growing panic in his lungs. He hasn’t been scolded like this since he was a kid, what could he have possibly done to make Tanaka-san so angry? Hawks does everything they say, he’s careful. “I’m busy working my ass off making it into the top ten! What could I have possibly done?” Tanaka-san sighs, still agitated, but disappointed in a way that makes Hawks’ stomach churn. “Look your name up on your phone.” Hawks numbly pulls up the search bar on his phone and searches ‘pro hero hawks.’ And, there it is, the first bold headline on the page. Star-Crossed Hero Love Affair? Underneath the article is a picture of Hawks and Todoroki Natsuo at the cafe they’d visited this past weekend. Picture Hawks has his head thrown back, cackling, and Natsuo is leaning forward, drinking in his laughter with a pleased smile on his face. His arms are extended across the table, as though waiting to hold Hawks’ hand. Shit.
