Brendon realizes he tends to think of Adam in the language of music: as a bright melody underlied with thumping bass, pretty but insistent and impossible to ignore. He never thought about him in terms of labels or categories or boxes. He thought of him as that guy who sang Sam Cooke like he meant it, like Brendon’s always wanted to sing it but never felt he knew how. He thinks maybe Adam is the kind of guy who confuses people. And he doesn’t know what he thinks about that.

Adam looks tired for a moment, and Danny realizes that this might not be the first time that Adam has had a man who had otherwise believed himself to be straight flailing all over him, either. With that charisma, it’s not exactly a crazy thought.

Kris honestly thought it was a phone booth, okay. But a phone booth wouldn't easily fit three people in it, right? It also wouldn't be bigger on the inside. A phone booth couldn't travel in space and time. This is a story of Kris Allen meeting a mad man with a blue box, going back in time, and realizing that sometimes it just takes a long time to figure out that you have always been in love with somebody.

Since Tommy has been having sex with Adam for almost a year, he feels pretty qualified to say that Adam is not nearly as vanilla as he seems to think he is.

Tommy should have known that something was up when the guy had walked into the restaurant and he’d immediately been drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Tommy had never really thought that instant attraction was real, but it sure felt like he had been wrong. And after what he thinks is just a simple one-night stand, it turns out that he was right after all. Instant attraction really is bullshit, but bonding is apparently all too real. To make things even more complicated, it turns out that he bonded with Adam Lambert – as in Adam Lambert, the rock star. It isn’t the most ideal way of finding a gig, but it’s a simple enough solution to their problem, so Tommy goes on tour with Adam as his bassist while they wait for the bond to run its course. It goes surprisingly well – Tommy fits in great with the band and he and Adam fall into an easy friendship (it doesn’t hurt that the sex is amazing either). It all seems so simple, until Tommy realizes that it’s not.

So when I watched Top Chef: Just Desserts, my crazy Adam-stan brain decided that the winner Yigit (pronounced “Yeet”) Pura would be an adorable match for Adam. He’s fun and affectionate, sweet and romantic (On the show he talked about making gourmet chocolate treats for boyfriends and in his It Gets Better video he said rainbows exploded around him the first time he kissed a boy, lol) and IMO is totally Adam’s type physically (proof in the form of a shirtless pics is HERE and HERE.) But what really made me want to write this pairing is the fact that Yigit also comes across as a very calm, confident, determined person. I remember Adam saying in an interview once that he rarely gets pursued/romanced, that he has always been the one in that role. Sooo tl;dr I really just wanted to write a sweet, sexy fic where Adam is the one who’s pursued and romanced, by a confident, out gay man who also seems to be his actual type.
