Rome/Brian, Dom/Brian, NC-17. The most believable story I've ever seen using 2F2F canon. This starts out with Brian having built a life for himself, as "with" Rome as Rome will let him, and with Dom losing the last vestiges of his old life. The power dynamics are interesting, the homophobia is well-handled, the pacing is great.

And if the pictures at the top of the page are anything to go by, I'm damn glad I haven't seen Fastlane, because whoa mullet. This is a great UST thing, though, with cops and a burning building and drugged sex and angst and undercover all mixed in together with Khaleesian's excellent writing to make it work. So Brian's driving and ingenious use of that vault to take out their pursuers in the big chase scene at the end was pretty hot. Dom thought so, too. After Brian comes back and saves him and they drive off together, Dom makes him pull over and they have dirty, sweaty, rough sex on the side of some deserted road. and Brian is the one in complete control of Dom...maybe Dom just climbs right on top of Brian and takes a ride...

He took blood, three vials filling up dark red. “Any medical conditions?” “No,” Dom said, and then his mouth kept going and said, “What if I want to volunteer for bonding?” The doctor peered at him over the glasses. “Do you want to volunteer for bonding?” It hung in the air. Dom felt it like a noose around his throat, squeezing. Twenty-five to life. “Yeah,” he said.

After Hobbs caught them in Rio, they didn't get ambushed, and they didn't get away. (AU diverging from Fast Five.)
