A series of vignettes about Tsuna, his guardians, and the people closest to him—snapshots of the impact they all have on each other (and that life has on them) over ten years. Tsuna always feels like he’s going to vibrate out of his skin, like there’s something in his gut that’s trying to claw out. He keeps expecting his flames to burst out at any second. After a while he realises he’s so used to fighting his body is wired to it as soon as the adrenaline rush hits. And Kyoko is an adrenaline rush.

Reborn enters into the Sawadas' household, but doesn't realize that what was Iemitsu's little boy is now his young daughter.

Everyone seems to think he's lost his mind, but Yamamoto has never felt so sane.

When Gokudera decides to help the drunken Hibari home, he discovers temptation has dark eyes, cold hands, and whispered admissions.

It took Xanxus two years to bring himself to Japan to visit Hibari instead of waiting for Hibari to come and visit him in Italy. Two years and the realization that he wanted more from their relationship than spontaneous visits that began with destructive fights and ended with them bloodied in bed. Once there, things that have been developing over time finally, finally, come to fruition.

Tsuna has never wanted to be a mafia boss. Nobody else seems to understand this. Perhaps its time to make them.

"Gokudera turns to Yamamoto, fixes him with the best glare he can manage. 'You didn’t bring a sleeping bag, did you?'" Yamamoto brings himself but not a sleeping bag to Shimon Island, and Gokudera is self-sacrificing.

There are a lot of things Hana doesn't know; she's okay with that.

Growing up in the Mafia isn't necessarily an easy or kind thing. The earth spins, life moves on, and Tsuna finds himself taking slow steps forward, back and forward again. (Or, ten times that Tsuna remembers it being easier to have sex with Xanxus rather than dealing with the insanity of the world around him)
